China International Search and Rescue Team arrives in Myanmar for quake rescue

At 11 PM local time on March 30, 118 members of the China International Search and Rescue Team (CISAR), accompanied by six rescue dogs, two rescue vehicles, and 634 sets of rescue equipment and medical supplies, arrived in Nay Pyi Taw from Beijing on two Y-20 transport aircraft of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force to conduct emergency rescue operations. Established in 2001, the CISAR is a United Nations-certified heavy-duty rescue team that has participated in over 20 international missions. (Photos: Chinese Embassy in Myanmar)
